In what ways is Minerva upset by cosas de los hombres in this chapter? Hombres, in this case, refers to more men than just her father.
Cosas de los hombres things a man dose. So that was suppose to excuse him his marchioness said Minerva. she was asking him why he cheated in her mom he said it just things a man dose. I think Minerva seem very annoyed about this answer her father gave her and she wanted a better answer than that. So thing that was going to explain why him having an affair with another women and not being faithful with her mom.

The two tension that lio brought to the household of the Mirabal first i that lio had invited Minerva to go into asylum with him he had written all of this explaining how she could get there in a letter that Dede was suppose to give to Minerva. But she didn't want her sister to got through that so she burned the letter. The second tension is that Dede is suppose to get married to Jaimito a childhood friend who she know for years but when lio came around she been questioning her her decisions and choices when Jaimito purpose to her she was kind of hesitant to answer back .
The decision Patria had made was to to pretend that she still had faith in god to spare all those she love she make believe that she still had faith. she had lost her faith because she lost her child and she blames god for taken her unborn child and she mad angry so her sisters and mother take a pilgrimage to the virgin mary to visit virgencita help
Maria is told about souls by her sister Minerva and what a soul longs for Maria says that when there a holiday or a birthday party if that's what it means to long for something. Minerva told her little sister now and that not what she means. But i think when they had to burying thing that had to evolve Hilda that she finally new what it means to long for something. she was going to miss writing in her little book the place where she could tell some or something about her day or about her or if she was sad, mad or just confused about something now she doesn't have her little secret book and she is going to long for it.
What does Minerva mean when she says "and that's how i got free" it wasn’t just the freedom of leaving home, but a freedom inside her head when she realized she had “just left a small cage to go into a bigger one, the size of our whole country.” This what she means about being free because he felt stuck and she wanted to be free from her boring life
Dede was the sister who survived when the reporter came she felt like she was up her life if it were an exhibit label neatly. Some of the question she was waiting for the reporter to ask was why are you the one who survived. As Dede was showing her around the house the reporter saw a picture of the sister and ask were are you in the picture. Dede said that she only put up picture of her sisters. I think Dede is trying to for get about the past and trying to move on bout these reporter keep bring up the past opening up old woundes
